Prism ("we", "our", "the app") is developed by Imed Maaref. This policy explains how your data is handled. We believe in privacy by design: what happens on your device, stays on your device — except when you

explicitly enable AI features.

1. Data Storage & Collection

Prism records audio and generates transcriptions, summaries, and AI

content. All recordings and notes are stored exclusively locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to your notes, recordings, or any personal content.

1. AI Processing (Third-Party Services)

Prism uses Google Gemini, a generative AI service provided by Google

LLC, to power its AI features. Before any data is sent to this service, the app requests your explicit consent through a dedicated consent

screen. You can grant or revoke this consent at any time in Settings > AI & Privacy.

When AI processing is enabled, the following data may be sent to Google Gemini:

• Audio recordings — for speech-to-text transcription and language detection
• Text notes and transcriptions — for summarization, content generation (emails, articles, social posts, task extraction, recaps), translation, transcript cleanup and rewriting, cross-note analysis (Ask AI, Daily Brief, Note Insights), and title generation

This data is transmitted securely via encrypted connections and is

processed in real-time. We do not store your audio or text on any external server. Google processes this data in accordance with their

Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Generative AI Terms of Service (https://ai.google.dev/terms), which provide data protections consistent with or exceeding those described in this policy.

If you decline or revoke AI consent, recording and playback continue to work normally, but all AI-powered features (transcription, summaries, content generation) will be disabled.

1. Subscriptions & Payments

Prism uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes

purchase data (transaction receipts, subscription status) to unlock Pro features. No personal payment information (like credit card numbers) is collected or stored by us.
